DR FAITH I. RAPULENG – TUELO IS THE UB’S DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC AFFAIRS
The University of Botswana (UB) has announced the appointment of Dr Faith I. Rapuleng – Tuelo as its Head of Public affairs. Dr. Tuelo is a result – oriented, focus – driven Chartered and an Accredited Public Relations Professional with a wealth of knowledge spanning two decades executed through a variety of managerial roles in the public and private sector. Her professional career entails speciality in the following disciplines: PR and corporate writing, marketing communications, corporate communications, media relations, stakeholder engagement, customer service and experience, sales, advertising, branding, public relations, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), strategies, policies, plans, guidelines programmes and concepts which contributes to building corporate image and reputation.
Dr Rapuleng – Tuelo’s role has been at the centre of decision-making processes, responsible for engineering and executing of strategies, policies, processes, plans and guidelines that have capitalised on positioning the organisation, promoted its growth and mandate. Apart from taking overall responsibility of the marketing communication and stakeholder relations function, she has directed and developed marketing communications and digital marketing strategies with public relations, corporate communications, crisis communication, change communication and corporate social responsibility plans just to name a few.
She is the former Regional Chairperson and member of Public Relations Institute of Southern Africa (PRISA), the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) and Digital Marketing Institute professional membership bodies. She is a member of the Botswana Bureau of Standards (BOBS) Social Responsibility Technical Committee (GPD 8), a committee that developed Botswana’s Social Responsibility Standards.
Dr Rapuleng -Tuelo joins the University of Botswana (UB) having worked at Human Resource Development Council as the Head, marketing Communications and Stakeholder Relations. Prior to working for the then Tertiary Education Council and HRDC, she had worked at the Botswana Post as the Corporate Communications Officer and Dikgang Publishing Company t/a Mmegi as the Sales and Marketing Manager. The CEO Africa magazine joins the corporate community and the Tuelo family in wishing this upwardly mobile woman a successful tenure at the University of Botswana.
